Keith Swanson is the Director of Fraud, Financial Crimes and Security Intelligence for SAS across Asia Pacific and Japan. In this role, he leads strategic engagement with customers to help them prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, financial crime, waste and abuse, and security threats. Keith works closely with organisations across financial services, government, and other industries to design and apply advanced analytics, intelligence-led solutions, and data-driven strategies that address complex business, technology, and regulatory challenges. Drawing on broad experience across North America and Asia, Keith brings a unique, end-to-end perspective to driving business and IT transformation. His background spans roles in analytics, IT, operations, management, and project delivery, enabling him to effectively bridge business objectives with technical execution and adoption. Keith and his team regularly advise senior stakeholders on emerging risks, regulatory expectations, and best practices in fraud and security intelligence. Keith is a frequent presenter at executive briefings, industry associations, conferences, and advisory forums, sharing insights on financial crime prevention and analytics-led decision-making. Prior to joining SAS in 2010, he held senior roles in the US financial services sector and worked in management and analytics consulting with IBM Global Business Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Business Administration and has completed advanced professional and executive education.
